What's this? I recently found out
that the state of WV allows for homeschoolers to be assessed at the end of the year by a certified teacher via portfolio assessment! "Sign me up!" I exclaimed in my email to the powers that be. I'm now on their list of assessors, so I hope to start hearing from people soon. I'll keep you "blogged" on the progress of this new venture!
Nothin' to blog about, but thought I'd give it a shot! I'm "the OTHER sister" who doesn't own The Woolen Willow, The Painted Cupboard, or Primitive Quilts & Projects Magazine! :) That's me!

Second Graders!
I got to sub in a 2nd grade class today, and it made me remember why I loved being a second grade teacher for all those years! They are so sweet, funny, and TALKATIVE!!! We had a good day, and nobody got lost or hurt during my watch!

Lazy-But-Productive Day
So, it's cold (again), snow flurries outside on-and-off all day, and I didn't get called to sub, so I decided to "work from home" today, rather than go in to the shop (The Woolen Willow, aka "the shop"). I worked all morning on the computer putting our retreat guests' information into a spreadsheet so I can easily print it out and submit it to the lodge for our room reservations. That, and dishes, emails, website edits, business calls, and then it was 3:00!
However...I also checked out my sister's blog "Jeni's blog from the Willow," to see if there were any responses to her post about our retreat, and decided to comment...which led me to creating this blog! Oh how the time flies when you are on the computer creating! haha
Now on to creating my EXTREME COUPON BINDER!
